Snow Storm Sunday 1/25/26

Jan 25, 2026

Greetings Church Family,

How amazing is it that it can be so cold outside yet so warm inside. What a blessing! Here is an update regarding the incoming snow that half the country seems to be allowing to cause such anxiety in their lives:

We want to assure you that our church will remain open for services this Sunday, both worship and the following "How to Use Your Study Bible" class will be pressing on. We are closely monitoring the reports, and based on the latest forecasts from Accuweather.com, conditions are expected to be very manageable during our service times.

Current predictions (Saturday 1/24 @ 10:45 AM) indicate approximately 8-12 inches of total snowfall from 7am Sunday until Monday morning.

However, by the time our morning service begins, accumulation is forecasted to be around 1.7 inches in and around Ansonia, with only about 2.5 inches by the time we conclude service. We believe travel and attendance will be safe for nearly all of our members, especially with plowing and salting efforts underway.

Of course, your safety is a priority. Use your discernment. Be the kinds of persevering Christians that are not easily dissuaded from our weekly corporate worship and fellowship. At the same time, using caution to keep you and your family safe. Simply put: love God and be wise.

Looking forward to gathering together to worship, encourage one another, and lift up prayers amid the storm!

With tremendous love,

Breandan McTighe
